The goal of this website is to get the basic framework of this important curriculum into teachers' hands.  Basic teaching tools are provided, but the curriculum must become your own in order to be successful; please adapt to your location and current events. In addition, and most importantly, students will drive the focus of your instruction.  For example, one year, my students seemed to focus on "stories worth telling"; another year, they focused on "man's inhumanity to man." Another year, they were driven by the theme of "defiance."  Your students will grow with this curriculum, and so will you -- in so many ways!
